Aligned with U.N. Sustainable Development Goals

Sustainability is a key focus for Qmerit. We believe our mission revolves around the sustainability of our environment, our people and stakeholders, and the governance of our company.

Qmerit uses the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as one tool for evaluating our impact and how we are living up to our ESG objectives. The SDGs represent a leading framework and set of objectives for impact for a wide range of parties interested in sustainability. Qmerit’s ESG objectives are aligned with many of the SDGs as outlined below.

Environment

Our business is providing electrification solutions for sustainability. Qmerit aims to embed sustainability and environmental stewardship in everything we do. We believe we have a responsibility to minimize the energy, carbon, water, and waste impacts of our business. We also recognize these impacts occur not just in the daily operations of our business, but throughout our value chain including suppliers and customers.

Our Carbon Footprint

Qmerit strives to reduce environmental impacts across the full lifecycle of our services, and for our business overall. Qmerit tracks and reports the direct carbon emissions resulting from our operations, which come primarily from service vehicles and our corporate operations such as offices and warehouses.

  • As van and truck options become available, Qmerit will begin to electrify our company-owned electrical contractors’ fleets and promote these vehicles to our Certified Solutions Partner (CSP) network.
  • Qmerit has adopted sustainability policies for our headquarters and satellite offices, and will provide sustainability guidance to our network of contractors nationally.
Our Customers’ Carbon Footprint

Because Qmerit delivers products and services that reduce the environmental footprint of our customers, we also track and report on these impacts—specifically, CO2 emissions.

The health and safety of our employees, customers and vendors is of the utmost importance to us. For Qmerit, the only acceptable goal for Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) and Lost Time Incident Rate (LTIR) numbers is zero.

Qmerit believes good governance is essential to creating and preserving value for all of our stakeholders. This includes a sound approach to corporate governance that complies with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and policies, as well as unwavering adherence to our values.

Corporate Governance

We have an effective and highly skilled Board of Directors with three committees: Audit, Compensation, and Corporate Governance and ESG Compliance. Each committee has a specific mandate to ensure Qmerit fulfills the highest possible standards for equity, fairness, transparency and ethics.

Ethics

Our directors and all employees, including senior management, conduct themselves in accordance with the highest moral and ethical standards, informed by a robust Code of Business Conduct and Ethics. Qmerit maintains:

  • Strict policies to protect against discrimination, harassment and retaliation
  • An open-door policy to encourage honest and direct communication to resolve issues and concerns in an expeditious manner
  • A whistleblower email and Hotline that provides an alternative and anonymous method of reporting suspected compliance violations, unlawful or unethical behavior, or fraud
Conflict of Interest

Qmerit demands all employees maintain the highest level of integrity and objectivity in performing their job duties. Employees are expected to conduct their business dealings with suppliers, vendors and customers in a manner that will avoid any conflict of interest, or appearance of a conflict of interest between the employee’s interests and the interests of the company.
